Windrush Day Celebration: In Conversation with Vanley Burke

Windrush Day with the photographer and artist Vanley Burke.

Vanley began photographing the black community from his base in Handsworth, Birmingham in the late 1960's, producing probably the most extensive photographic record of the Caribbean diaspora in Britain today.

Vanley will be discussing his life and work and playing some of his favourite songs with the music journalist and Birmingham Music Coalition lead, Lyle Bignon.

True to form this will be followed by a Windrush Day Dance with Bass Warrior's Caroline Murphy.
