An Unseen Eye is an intimate portrait of photographer Robert Blomfield, now in his 80s, as he reflects on his early life shooting the streets of Edinburgh during his student days and early career in the 1950s and 60s. As his family work through his incredible archive, Robert’s work is now being widely seen for the first time.

Stuart Edwards is a photographer and film maker based in Edinburgh and a Canister Camera Club regular. Intrigued by Robert’s story, Stu made contact and spent some time at Robert’s home in the north of England. The resulting 15-minute documentary is a beautiful insight into one man’s lifelong passion for photography and currently accompanies Robert’s exhibition at the City Arts Centre, Edinburgh.

Stu will be introducing his film, followed by a screening and Q&A.
