• The Art Collection at the University of Stirling invite you to our Open Day as part of Refugee Festival Scotland.
Refugee Festival Scotland celebrates the contribution refugee communities make to life in Scotland – the food and drink, music and poetry, art, languages and ideas that people bring with them when they seek safety here.
    The afternoon's events include:
Guided tours of the current Experiences of Exile exhibitions
An opportunity to sample Syrian baking
A chance to print a keepsake on the University’s Columbian Press
Musical performance by internationally renowned classical guitarist Ayman Jarjour.
Readings by Creative Writing students from the University of Stirling inspired by the Experiences of Exile exhibitions.
Musical performance by the Edinburgh Quartet of new work created by composition students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland inspired by the Art Collection's Experiences of Exile exhibitions.
