PROTOTYPE // Open studio

*Note: you must book in order to attend, 7-days in advance of the event.*

Part of our mission is to inspire artists to create new work, continue artist research, and to test and play with new ideas and formats. But it can be challenging to prioritise and set aside time just to make!

Bring your workbook/laptop/contact sheets and spend time in our open-plan studio space working on whatever you choose. In a small group, this event is perfect for people looking for a chat, a bit of a community, or solo silent workers who just need to put headphones on and 'body double'.

AGITATE MAKER and HERO members can attend PROTOTYPE events free of charge as part of their membership. For other attendees there is a small ticket cost to contribute to studio materials.

What should I bring? //

AGITATE is a community for photographers, but we want our PROTOTYPE events to feel welcoming and exciting to all creatives. You are welcome to bring any desk-based work with you, with the unfortunate exception of 'wet' practices like pottery or papier-mâché (this is a building rule). We have plenty of exhibition panels if you'd like to experiment with pinning/installing work, and ample floor space. See below for the kind of materials and equipment we have for folks to use during the session.
