Protest and Survive

Upcoming in the second half of October we have an exhibition documenting the long established culture of political demonstrating on the streets of Scotland's capital, courtesy of photographers Stefan Czemerys and Gareth Surgey.

Protest and Survive (the title is a nod toward the essay written by the historian, writer, and peace activist EP Thompson in the 1980s) covers a period of more than ten years when demonstrations in Edinburgh ranged from far right rallies, to gatherings supporting LGBTQ+ rights, pro-Palestine causes, and opposing US President Donald Trump.

The gallery will be open Weds-Fri (11 am to 6:30 pm) Sat (11 am to 5 pm) and Sun (1 to 5 pm) from 21st to 31st October.
