An exhibition and publication about the found, defaced, debased, hilarious and incomprehensible floods of signage in our lives. Words in the land, drawn on signs, stuck to workplaces.

Signs are everywhere. So are our responses to them- sometimes scathing, sometimes crazy, often a real marker of the time they were made. Sometimes they can change how we feel about a place, expanding our frame of mind. I've been invited to exhibit a series of photographs from this long-term theme at the Wyllieum in Greenock.

An accompanying publication with text by writer and broadcaster Ken Hollings, designed by Killian Dunne will be available at the launch.

The exhibition is part of the Season of Photography 2026, a celebration of photography in Scotland running from 1st September – 20th December 2026.
