Dr. Sara Stevenson Q&A Thomas Annan: Photographer of Glasgow

Thomas Annan was the preeminent photographer of Glasgow in the mid-nineteenth century, a period when the rise in industry and population dramatically altered the landscape of the “second city” of the British Empire. Back in 2017 Dr. Sara Stevenson, former Chief Curator of the Scottish National Photography Collection gave a talk on Thomas Annan at Street Level Photoworks to celebrate the publication of ‘Thomas Annan: Photographer of Glasgow’, published by The Getty Museum.
