To coincide with our ‘work in progress’ exhibition at Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Art Gallery there will be a Symposium ‘Imaging an Island’, together with an opportunity for the wider public to become involved, through an open photographic exhibition.

Imagining an Island is a Symposium and knowledge exchange event, foregrounding Contemporary Landscape Practices in Photography and Film.

As part of this project we are holding an exhibition of photographic work responding to the themes of Landscape, People, and Place.

Selected works will be shown as a virtual exhibition at Taigh Chearsabhagh, North Uist, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Works will then be projected in Taigh Chearsabhagh gallery to coincide with John Kippin and Nicola Neate’s exhibition In This Day and Age, together with Benjamin Skop and Amund Bentsen’s video-based works Ecognosis.

Submissions are open to all, and selection will be based on the strength of the image. We encourage work from people of all backgrounds and levels of experience.

Deadline for submissions: 20 June 2020, midnight.

Exhibition will run Summer 2020, dates to be decided.
