Led by artist Zoe Hamill, this session is designed to be a friendly and informal introduction to this beautiful process, with plenty of space for questions and experimentation. No previous experience is necessary, it’s perfect for anyone with an interest in nature and printmaking.

At the end of the session you will have 5 finished cyanotype prints that you’ve made, as well as 5 sheets of coated paper to take away with you for further experiments.

In the session we will:

Learn how to coat paper with cyanotype chemistry, ready for exposure
Create cyanotype prints from plants in the garden (without destroying them)!
Have a tea break, refreshments provided
Experiment with wet cyanotypes and learn about toning
Learn more about the history of cyanotypes and Anna Atkins, a pioneer of the process
