Following the vernal equinox, we begin to surface from the darkness of winter. In our third event, we’ll examine Orkney’s ancient stone carvings, journey into the depths of time along the streets of Stromness, and dive below the surface of the waters around these islands.

We are delighted to introduce you to our line-up of contributors for our event this Friday:

'Holm Sound' seeks to become a beacon in our current time of isolation. There is a growing need for connections to be made anew, collaborations and networks that will stand artists in good stead for the coming years ahead. Initiated by Jonathan Ford, Saoirse Higgins and fellow organisers Fiona Sanderson, Louise Barrington and Frances Scott, our platform will act as an offshoot of ØY Festival, sharing the same ambition and generosity of spirit. We have all become very much islands, the archipelago is what we aim for.
