About the guest speaker:
Patricia Macdonald has a lifetime’s experience and expertise that crosses over between the fields of biological science; cultural landscape; academic research and teaching; museum, gallery, government, and NGO management and consultancy; and fine-art practice as an eminent environmental artist-photographer, specializing in aerial imagery. Her award-winning aerial work, which is published, exhibited, commissioned, and held in public and private collections internationally, is made in collaboration, through the Aerographica Partnership, with Angus Macdonald, Professor Emeritus at Edinburgh College of Art/the University of Edinburgh, where Patricia Macdonald is also an Honorary Fellow.

About the book:
Surveying the Anthropocene presents a range of approaches to image-making concerning the environment by some of the best artist-photographers working worldwide, alongside texts by some of the most illuminating writers on environmental questions, at a pivotal moment in the human relationship with the planet. A thought-provoking combination of visually powerful imagery and comment.
