Join Document Scotland and Shetland Arts for an online celebration of the work of the young people on the Show Us Shetland project alongside historic and contemporary work by photographers about Shetland.

“Document Scotland were delighted to be able to partner with Shetland Arts to offer young people the chance to take part in the Show Us Shetland photography project. The work produced during February and March of this year gave us an insight into what life is like in the islands for our young folk. Each of the participants approached the project in their own way and the result was a real breadth of images which communicated so much about their family life and local environment. We are looking forward to seeing the final selection of photography and sharing it with local and national audiences across Scotland - and beyond. A big thank you to everyone who took part!” (Document Scotland)

Formed in 2012, Document Scotland is a collective of three Scottish documentary photographers, Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert, Colin McPherson and Sophie Gerrard, brought together by a common vision to witness and photograph the important and diverse stories within Scotland at one of the most important times in our nation’s history.

The partnership between Document Scotland and Shetland Arts is supported by Creative Scotland.
