As part of the Climate Fringe, following the G42 Pop-Ups 'Harvest Fair' Community Market, GAMIS invite you to join us for this special open-air screening of Living Proof: A Climate Story. Made in 2021, the year that Scotland hosts the UN’s climate change conference (COP26), curator and director Emily Munro searches for the roots of the climate crisis in our history. Archive footage from the National Library of Scotland evocatively portrays a country shaped by demands for energy and economic growth, while a dramatic soundtrack amplifies the voices of the past in powerful and unsettling ways.
Join us for a magical evening of Scottish music and both archival and contemporary artists' filmmaking. Though this event will screen from digital scans, this event is grounded in an appreciation of the materiality of the medium of film.
