Photography and Inner Landscapes - Workshop

How can we use the camera and the physical reality to capture, reflect on and communicate what’s invisible to the eye, such as inner lives, dreams, or memories? This workshop will focus on photography as a tool for capturing the hidden aspects of the human experience, using immediate surroundings and simple props.This workshop is an extension of the artist talk happening the same day.

Joanna Stawnicka is a photographer and visual artist born in Lublin, Poland, and based in Glasgow. Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 2022 her work was awarded the Alice Duncan Prize and shown at Futurepoof 2022 at Stills, Edinburgh. Joanna is currently taking part in the imPACT Bursary and Creative Development Programme at Street Level Photoworks.
