Adam Fowler : Neart Nan Gleann - Documenting Scotland's hydroelectric infrastructure.

Adam is an Edinburgh based photographer working in landscape and documentary. His main interests are in how we interact with the landscape rather than a record of the landscape itself, how we control it for our own desires and the structures we build upon it. For most of his professional career Adam has worked in the video game industry but recently left to concentrate more on his photography.

Christi Macpherson : The Bridges

Born and brought up in the Highlands, now based in Fife; Christi is a fine art photographer with a passion for long term projects. Christi studied Photography in Derby in the late 90's and found his way back to serious fine art photography around 7 years ago via a circuitous route involving many years of graphic and interface design, and one scary year as a lecturer.

His work, The Bridges, was simultaneously a response to the work of his hero Iain Banks, and a means to show the Forth Bridges from the point of view of one of the trolls who lived under them.

Phil Lavery : Exploring The Liminal -  Abstraction in times and places of transition.

Phil will discuss his exhibition, Exploring The Liminal and the In The Broken Places series that is a response to his recent heart attack.

Drawn to geometry, proportion and light, Phil sees abstraction as a way to explore the hidden stories of things and believes beauty can be found anywhere - if you look close enough. He studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, and is a Professional Artist Member of the Society of Scottish Artists.

The Meet Up is a chance to network, ask questions, make connections, share work and get feedback, and most of all, get inspired with a creative group of photographers. Attendees will then have the opportunity to do a 5 minute ‘show and tell’ of their work, so if you would like to bring some work to get feedback from the rest of the group please do.
