Glean / FUTUREPROOF 2022

Join us for a joint gallery tour between the City Art Centre and Stills: Centre for Photography, Edinburgh, to meet the curators and view two very different exhibitions. Glean: Early 20th Century Women Filmmakers and Photographers in Scotland, first floor City Art Centre, is curated by Jenny Brownrigg, and presents the work of fourteen pioneering women photographers and filmmakers, documenting different aspects of rural and urban Scotland, including communities and working life. Ben Harman, Curator and Director of Stills will introduce FUTUREPROOF 2022 which is an exhibition partnership between Stills and Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow. The display at Stills presents work by 13 recent graduates in photography, selected from degree courses across Scotland.
