Futureproof returns for its 16th year championing the talent and diversity of newly graduated artists across Scotland’s dedicated Photography and Fine Art courses. The exhibition is just a taste of the tidal wave of creativity which emerges every year from Scotland’s further education institutions. A range of work is embraced, from re-imagined landscapes; new topographies of place; explorations of cultural and family histories; and all deploying a variety of experimental approaches.
The exhibition includes work from Amy Storey, Audrey Bizouerne, Ava Wright, Caitlin Edge, chema rodriguez alcantara, Clarissa Gurd, Coral Allen, Demelza Kingston, Edward Cawood, Emily Broadrick, Heather Graham, Freya Cookson, Innes Gregory, John Ferguson, Lyela Ahmad, Maria Strang, Marylynn Ballard, Naomi Wood, Rachael Clarkson, Rob Symington, Theo Craig and Victoria Filimonova.
Degree shows at the following institutions were visited during the process of selection: University of the Highlands and Islands (Inverness and Elgin), Forth Valley College, City of Glasgow College, Glasgow School of Art, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (Dundee), Grays School of Art (Aberdeen), Edinburgh College, Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Napier University.
