Futureproof is Street Level Photoworks annual showcase of new talent in photographic image making, selected from across Scotland’s photography and fine art degree courses.

This year due to lockdown restrictions degree shows were hosted online by the various educational establishments. Futureproof 2020 takes the form of an online exhibition as well as talks and events across our social media channels.

We are partnering with Source magazine, with a large part of the selection for this years exhibition being made from submissions to the Source BA Graduate Photography Online platform from students graduating from Scottish photography courses – Edinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh College, Glasgow School of Art and City of Glasgow College. This is augmented by work from Fine Art and Contemporary Art Practice courses at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (Dundee), Grays School of Art (Aberdeen), Moray School of Art (Elgin) and Forth Valley College (Stirling).

We are also delighted to share the news that for the second consecutive year we will again be partnering with the Jill Todd Photographic Award in announcing the Futureproof 2020 prize to one of the exhibitors in the exhibition. The JTPA promotes early careers in photography through the making and exhibiting of new photographic work.
