To accompany his new book, Photography and Environmental Activism published by Routledge, Conohar will discus his publication mapping out key moments in the history of environmentalist photography and contemporary artistic practice.

Dr Conohar Scott is a Senior Lecturer in photographic theory and a practising artist at the University of Lincoln. His research interests concern the representation of industrial pollution in photography, and the application of art as a tool for environmental advocacy.

Edinburgh Napier University Photography Lecture Series has been running since 2016 and is organised and hosted by photographer, lecturer and research staff Sophie Gerrard. It offers a series of talks by visiting artist/photographers, theorists, historians, curators and other industry professionals. Geared towards students at all levels as well as staff and public, the series offers a shared focus for discussions of contemporary debates in photography.
