Margaret Drysdale is a photographer, arts and creative learning development worker for Edinburgh City Council, and founder of the photography collective Women in Focus in Edinburgh (WIFIE). She studied Photography at Napier where she met her husband Peter, also a photographer. They have lived on Portobello Promenade for almost 30 years.
Wifie, Women In Focus In Edinburgh, is an independent photography group for women living in and around Edinburgh. Members of Wifie meet to participate in workshops and visit exhibitions. During these informal meetings the group are able to discuss ideas or explore the issues raised by the work of other artists as well as being able to share knowledge, ideas and experiences within the group.
This event is FREE but donations are very welcome and can help Portobello Photography School record and dessiminate the history of photography in oor beloved Portobello. Participants are not obliged to pay a penny though and ALL WELCOME.
