Back Doon the Watter is a project which looks at the survival of the traditional west coast holiday, the urban population heading down the Clyde to enjoy our very own riviera experience.
It was first shown as a film/ slide show in a small van converted into a touring cinema, visiting many of the traditional Clyde resorts.
The full exhibition then showed in late 2023 at the Garrison House, Millport, before the images were exhibited at Trongate 103.
Now the images, films, and also ephemera from North Ayrshire Heritage department's collection, will show at North Ayrshire Heritage Centre, Manse Street, Saltcoats from September 23rd to November 20th (centre open Monday-Wednesday, and Saturday, 10.30-1 and 2-4.30)
