Blue Flower: Join Alexander Hamilton, co-chair of the Scottish Society for the History of Photography, to celebrate the launch of his book, In Search of the Blue Flower: The Art of Cyanotype. This is the first book in the Scottish Photographic Artists series, which showcases and reflects on the work of contemporary Scottish photographers. Alex will be sharing the story of his lifelong quest to perfect the cyanotype process, an early photographic technique that produces deep blue images. His journey has taken him all over the world, from the uninhabited island of Stroma in the Pentland Firth to France, as he refined the technique of capturing the essence of nature on the page.
