A New World

The Alchemy experiment presents "A New World", the debut solo exhibition by French photographer and researcher Gaston Welisch at our venue from June 1-12.

Featuring 12 large format photographic prints and an accompanying self-published book, this exhibition captures the stories of everyday people in mundane moments, inviting viewers to reflect on the full lives of the older subjects featured in the works.

Through cinema-style framing, Welisch suggests a larger narrative that extends beyond the captured moment, creating empathy and contemplation of the intersection between the viewers' own lives and the experience of this "new world."
