A book of photographs taken on the island of Vatersay in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland over a period of 35 years.
Paul Glazier & Bluecoat Press have recently launched a Kickstarter to fund Glazier’s book project ‘Island Tides’. Island Tides is an intimate portrait about life on a remote Scottish island.
“I still travel to the Vatersay as often as I can, to photograph the people of the island, capturing the changing faces as time leaves its mark. Some of the children in the original photographs now have their own children and even grandchildren, and parents have become great grandparents. Hoping to be able to photograph the island for many years to come, I’m is slowly building a unique portrait of this small community. I feel it’s now time to put a selection of the photographs together in the form of a book. And this is where I hope you can help me.” – Paul Glazier
The hardback book will be landscape (270mm x 290mm), c.156 pages and printed in duotone.
