ATLAS Arts are seeking notes of interest for an artist in residence as part of Culture Collective, a new cultural exchange programme across Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh.
The selected artist will work closely with the ATLAS Arts programme team over 13 months to research and develop a new project that will form part of ATLAS’ 2022 programme. The artist will be supported with a £26k fee and £7.5k production budget.
The ATLAS artist in residence will join a network of five performing artists working with SEALL, this group forms Culture Collective. Each artist will develop a project on their own terms, and be supported by a shared space for learning, community building and critical discussion.
Culture Collective aims to build a series of creative conversations, cultural events and long-term arts projects that celebrate creative practice in Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh, and support communal conversations on the role arts and culture has to play as we look to build more hopeful and pleasurable futures.
Deadline for expressions of interest: Friday 16 July 2021 10am.
This residency is funded through the Creative Scotland Culture Collective programme – establishing a network of creative practitioners, organisations and communities, working together to create a positive difference both locally and nationally.
