My Place is a two-part programme designed to connect people with their local places and celebrate how communities across Scotland are coming together to make their areas better places to live, work and play.
The My Place Awards, led by the Scottish Civic Trust, celebrate excellence in community-led placemaking across Scotland. They recognise:
Community-Led Projects: Transformative regeneration initiatives
Community Champions: Individuals making outstanding contributions to place
Climate Projects: Community-led action tackling climate change
Equalities Projects: Breaking down barriers and promoting inclusion in civic life
Winning projects gain national recognition, the opportunity to showcase their impact to funders, and are celebrated at a high-profile ceremony attended by policymakers and leaders from Scotland’s built environment sector.
The My Place Photography Competition is open to school age young people (4-18) across Scotland, encouraging them to capture what makes their place special. Link to submit here
