This exhibition is a collection of images taken on various Scottish islands including Mull, Iona and Lewis. The works capture the natural landscapes and wildlife of the island, highlighting a feeling of stillness and isolation.

Isolation is a key experience of the Scottish isles. The idea of being alone, surrounded by water can be both unsettling and serene. The tension between the two is something I wanted to exhibit in these works.

‘Īeg’ is an old English word meaning ‘island.’ Using this word as the title for the exhibition is a way to connect the natural history of the islands, my English background and the Scottish heritage of the islands.
