This exhibition showcases eight works of photographic art, shot and created over some ten years.  Each work consists of a panel of nine photographs as Eion’s personal response to a single concept.

All the works underline the effect of a panel of stylistically similar but different images as brought particularly to the attention of the photographic world by Hilla and Berndt Becher’s work on typologies from the 1960s onwards.

In each work, human shapes and forms are used as the elements of a photographic language.   The human body is so immediate to all of us that its use amplifies the power of any image.  All of us have common human experiences and emotions which can elicit deep resonances with this type of image.

In the development of each work’s concept, the original photographic shot is transformed through several stages to arrive at the final print.  The result may be some distance from the original.  However, in all cases each element in the work is based only on the artist’s own photographic captures.
