Show Us Shetland is a short project organised by Document Scotland, where nine young artists collaborated with us to make photography responding to the here and now in Shetland.
During February and early-March, Shetland Arts asked the nine young artists to show us where they live and their local environment. Despite the challenges of taking photographs during the current national lockdown, the work produced showed their individual and unique talents and together built a fascinating picture of what their lives are like today.
The young artists were invited to showcase their work at a special online salon event hosted by Document Scotland and Shetland Arts, with over 50 folk joining for the event.
A selection of the work will be on display across Mareel’s windows throughout April in the exhibition, SHOW ME.
Hear from the young photographers and view a selection of the exhibited works on the Document Scotland website.
