Stirling Photography Festival

The Stirling Photography Festival is running throughout September with a programme of events and exhibitions across Stirling. You can see the full programme of events and exhibitions and book here.

Included amongst a range of events we are partnering with the Art Collection at the University of Stirling to bring you a day of events on Saturday 13th September, including a camera obscura, Polaroid lifts, pin hole camera and still life workshops. On 17th September there is an in conversation with newly appointed Artist in Residence, photographer Jess Holdengarde.

There is also a weekend of events with Historic Environment Scotland (HES) at The Engine Shed, their national conservation centre in the heart of Stirling. Friday 26th September in the afternoon and evening we have a series of talks and demonstrations inspired by the work of HES including Laser Beams and Polygons, the World of Film Photography, and The Photography Eclectics.

Exhibitions include Govanhill with Simon Murphy at Macrobert Arts Centre, University of Stirling until 20th September. Simon will hold in-gallery talks on

Beyond Home with Ron O'Donnell at Stirling's Tolbooth until 27th September. Ron will hold two talks in-gallery

A Hidden Community with Jennifer Charlton at the Barracks Conference Centre until 27th September. Jennifer is leading a talk on
