This exhibition is the result of a search for harmony, beauty or monumentality, usually in neglected or marginal places or perhaps in the remains of utilitarian structures. The photographs were taken in Scotland and most are a response to weathered or decomposing surfaces as they are illuminated by light of a certain quality at a particular moment; they also attempt to capture the marks or signs we leave in the landscape, especially those that are accidental, ephemeral or transient.
