Photographic artists Lena Dobrowolska and Teo Ormond-Skeaping will discus their career and work.

Lena Dobrowolska is an artist working with a combination of documentary photography, artist’s film, virtual reality, installation and research. Since 2012, Dobrowolska has been working in an artist collaboration with Teo Ormond-Skeaping., on projects concerned with Climate Change and the Anthropocene, or what they prefer to refer to as Capitalocene.

Their works document vulnerability to and responsibility for climate change, resilience and adaptation efforts through an exploration of poverty, development and environmental disaster as a way of imagining speculative scenarios of climate change impacted futures.

Their ongoing work focuses on the relationship between climate change, development, environmental degradation, human rights and geopolitics with documentary representation.

Lena Dobrowolska has received international acclaim. She is the recipient of the Grey House Prize and Show Off Award from Photomonth Krakow and was awarded the Culture and Climate Change research residency supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation, The University of Sheffield, The Open University and Ashden Trust. They are the recipients of 2019 Coalition for Art and Sustainable Development Prize on Climate, Disasters, Displacement.
