Between 1898 and 1912, Violet Brodie (nee Violet Hope) created a series of photographic albums recording her daily life and the lives of her family and friends. These albums offer a unique and intimate view of upper-class life in Edwardian Scotland, and document Brodie’s changing relationship and use of photography to represent her world.  Lily Barnes is the Morton Photographic Project Documentation and Digitisation Officer.
