“The question then is how to get lost. Never to get lost is not to live, not to know how to get lost brings you to destruction, and somewhere in the terra incognita in between lies a life of discovery”
Rebecca Solnit, from ‘A Field Guide to Getting Lost’
This is my unmapped landscape, my getting lost. A soft visual thread of memories, maps and associations. Part remembered, part imagined. Past and present intertwined
I am a photographer based in the Highlands of Scotland. I am interested in the relationship between people and places, buildings and landscapes, memory and belonging. I use film for all my work, using Medium Format, 35mm and Polaroid Cameras.
