Gorbals Culture Collective @ Gorbals Fair

Join our culture collective artists Bash Khan and Stella Rooney at the Gorbals Fair day, organised by the New Gorbals Housing Association.  Across 2 gazebo’s located in the Piazza, we will have a series of displays and activities to get involved with:

POP UP portrait studio – come along and have a fun portrait taken – alone or with family/ friends.  We’ll have a limited number of free Polaroid print give aways and everyone will get a free digital copy of their photo.

G5’s Got Talent – watch some short films featuring some of the talented Gorbals performers.

305/ 341 Caledonia Rd Flats social history project - in collaboration with NGHA the culture collective team have been capturing some of the history of the Caley Rd flats ahead of the final decant and demolition.  Come along and see some of the results to date and if you have memories or any photographs from the flats, we would love to hear from you.

Gorbals Today - 25th June – 13th July 2022. Look out for the photo display of 11 portraits in Crown St shop windows of by Culture Collective Lead Artist Bash Khan. Bash has been photographing some of the local residents across the Gorbals to create a portrait series that reflects the residents of the Gorbals today. He will be out and about with his camera on the day of the Gorbals Fair, so if you'd like to be part of the series stop and have a chat.
