Gaelic Futurisms examines the endangerment of Gaelic language as a collective loss of shared human knowledge, heritage, and culture, echoed throughout all people who have lost their native tongues. Featuring multimedia contemporary artworks by emerging and established artists, poets, and performers, Gaelic Futurisms invites you to explore how revival of marginalised languages and knowledges might offer new perspectives on diversities of human experience, ways of imagining our relationships with the planet, and new possibilities for our shared futures.
With a new body artworks by Annabel Stewart, Cashlin Mackenzie, Choirstaidh NicArtair, Danielle MacLeod, Rodrigo Arteaga, Ruth Hamilton, and Sigi Whittle
On the 5th of December, there will be a live addition to Gaelic Futurisms -- featuring a live performance by musician and performance artist, Evie Waddell, and live poetry readings by writers Seonaidh MacIain and Lisa NicDhòmhnaill.
