Demonstration Day (Cyanotype/Silver Gelatin Printing)

This will be a fantastic (FREE!) opportunity to gain an insight and understanding into the driving forces that create everything at Island Darkroom - the photographic processes.

The morning will be dedicated to demonstrating the unique Cyanotype process, which creates all of the Blueprints seen on the textiles at Island Darkroom. This is a group-friendly process that will be based in the main space of the gallery, no booking required.

The afternoon will be dedicated to demonstrating the traditional black and white process of silver gelatin printing in the darkroom itself. Space in the darkroom is limited, so if you’d like to ensure a specific time for your demonstration with no waiting time, please get in touch with Mhairi to book a 15-minute slot.

SILVER GELATIN DEMONSTRATIONS:
1pm-5pm
