In 2016 Refuweegee partnered with LIVED projects and a group of students from the University of Edinburgh to give refugees who have arrived in Scotland and who want to share their experiences, the tools and platform to do so. With disposable cameras, journals, and art supplies, participants were invited to document and describe their hopes and aspirations, sense of home and belonging, and emotional lives after arriving in Glasgow. The materials were then gathered and exhibited at the University of Edinburgh with the aim of giving a voice to refugees who have settled here.

Thanks to the support of Oxfam Scotland we are finally in a position to do the exhibition justice and share it with you in Glasgow. Launching on World Refugee Day in the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.
