Our hugely popular Glasgow Through the Decades: A Photography Walking Tour returns for a second year as part of the Merchant City Festival!

This year our unique guided tour will be led by award-winning photographer and Document Scotland founding member Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert.

The tour will commence with an introduction by Robert John Henderson of his exhibition 'In Praise of Darkness and Light' , and that of Doro Zinn's 'Save It For A Rainy Day', made in and around the Gorbals, both on now at Street Level Photoworks.

The tour will cover some of the inner East of Glasgow, it's hidden past and present as depicted in the photographs of some leading documentary photographers. It will reference images over the decades by Thomas Annan, Oscar Marzaroli, Joseph McKenzie, Hugh Hood, Chris Leslie as well as Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert's own images and stories of photographing the changing face of the city.

  1. Due to popular demand there will be two tours this year.
Tickets are free but booking is essential as spaces are limited - Book via eventbrite for the 1pm - 2.30pm  tour or the 3pm - 4.30pm tour.
