Call for Artists: The Scottish Analogue Directory

Island Darkroom is calling upon all artists living and working throughout Scotland using the art of
Analogue Photography within their professional creative practice.

The goal is to create an online community and resource of analogue creatives, offering the opportunity to
share ideas, discover new work or seek advice.

Who Is This Open To?
The Scottish Analogue Directory is open to any professional artist living in Scotland who uses analogue photography within their creative practice.
This can include film photography, solar image-making, cyanotypes, salt-printing, pinhole cameras, polaroids, Daguerreotype’s… The Scottish Analogue Directory wants to hear from you all.
Using these techniques does not have to be the main focus of your practice in order to sign up.

What do I get?
By signing up, you will have your listing publicly posted in the Scottish Analogue Directory on the Island Darkroom website.

You don’t have to be a member to view the listings, but by signing yourself up you will –

  • Have access to the Scottish Analogue Directory private group facebook page. The aim of the facebook page is to create open dialogue between all the analogue artists – share news of events, ask for technical advice, seek out a potential collaborator – it is what you make it!

  • Become a featured artist – Periodically, an artist will be selected from the directory to be featured on Island Darkroom’s social media channels and showcased at the top of directory listings.
